Architectural wall systems in the Bay Area.

Wood paneling and feature-wall millwork developed as part of the architecture. Millwork USA coordinates the panel layout, visible details and fabrication requirements with your Bay Area project team.

Still planning? Tell us the rooms, project location and target timing. You can start the conversation without a complete drawing set.

Scope and coordination

Developed around your project.

Resolve the whole elevation

A wall system needs more than a finish selection. Panel sizes, grain direction, reveals, corners, returns and terminations establish how the elevation reads. Show how it meets doors, ceilings, flooring and adjacent cabinetry, including which junctions remain visible from other parts of the room.

Coordinate lighting and service access

Identify switches, outlets, lighting, equipment and access panels before the fabrication set is approved. The drawings should make responsibility for each interface explicit. Electrical work and other specialist trades remain separate scopes unless the project agreements state otherwise; a detail in a rendering is not an agreed installation responsibility.

Approve samples and control revisions

Confirm the material, finish and acceptable natural variation against samples. Field dimensions and substrate conditions need review before affected assemblies are released. Changes to panel divisions or adjacent construction must identify the revised drawing and any implications for material, fabrication and delivery.

What to send for an estimate

Send wall elevations, room dimensions or available survey information, finish references and the locations of doors, lighting and service access. Include your project address, design-team contact and target schedule.

Serving Bay Area projects from Morgan Hill. Los Angeles-area projects are reviewed by location, scope, and installation requirements.

Separate the specification from the estimate

Identify the cabinet or panel substrate, visible finish, edge treatment, hardware and installation interfaces in your brief. State which items are specified and which need review. Availability, load ratings, moisture exposure and finish samples must be confirmed before manufacture; a planning guide is not a product specification or a fixed-price offer.

Completed residential references: Los Angeles cabinetry and illuminated storage, Lancaster kitchen and living-room built-ins, and Berkeley kitchen, island and fitted casework. These references show related cabinetry, not a separately documented wall-panel installation.

Millwork USA LLC provides custom millwork design-development, manufacturing, supply, delivery coordination and related project services. Installation services requiring a contractor's license are performed under separate agreement by appropriately licensed independent contractors.

Completed work

Use the completed-project gallery to discuss architectural details and material relationships. Your proposed wall system requires its own reviewed layout, samples and coordination record.

Materials and estimating

Specify the panel system, not just the surface

Panel layout

Set panel divisions, grain direction, reveals, corners and transitions on the elevation.

A continuous-looking surface can require multiple coordinated panels. Joint positions and veneer matching affect material use and fabrication.

Substrate and attachment

Identify wall conditions, backing, panel construction and the proposed fixing method.

The finish surface and the supporting assembly are separate decisions. Site preparation must be coordinated before panel release.

Lighting and access

Locate outlets, controls, equipment, lighting channels and removable access panels.

Access and electrical coordination should be resolved while the drawings can still change, rather than cut into finished panels on site.

Performance requirements

State any fire, acoustic or moisture requirements in the design brief.

Decorative wood paneling does not automatically provide a tested fire or acoustic rating. Required documentation must match the specified product and assembly.

Before you send the brief

Questions about your project.

What is included in an architectural wall-panel estimate?

Define the panel area and layout, visible material, veneer matching, edges and returns, reveals, attachment details and access panels. The proposal should distinguish fabrication from site preparation, delivery and installation. Lighting equipment and electrical work need an explicit scope allocation.

Can panels conceal doors or service access?

They can be reviewed as part of a coordinated design. Provide the door or access dimensions, operating requirements and hardware information. The panel layout must preserve operation, clearances and necessary access; a flush appearance alone is not a complete construction detail.

Can a wood finish be matched across a wall and adjacent cabinets?

Review the wall and cabinet surfaces together, including grain direction, veneer sequence and the approved finish sample. Natural variation and different lighting conditions affect appearance. Matching expectations should be established before ordering materials, with substitutions reviewed against the same requirements.

Do you have a published wall-panel installation case study?

The completed-project gallery currently documents related cabinetry and architectural built-ins. It does not establish a separately documented wall-panel installation. Share your wall elevations so we can review the specific construction and finish requirements rather than assume they match a portfolio photograph.
